I love taking pictures and videos of my son and would like to email them with others but I am always concerned about where my shared pictures and videos may end up. I was wondering if you know of any websites that have a “sign-in” feature when sharing videos? -Stephanie

With four kids and lots of friends and family far away, you can only imagine how often we get begged to see video, Stephanie. Thankfully, there are a slew of handy, secure sites that allow you to upload and share video with ease.

Both Snapfish and Shutterfly offer services that allow you to upload your video to one secure place and then email to friends and family. Even better, both allow you to try their service for free to see if it’s something that works for you; Snapfish offers a free 30-day trial, and Shutterfly allows you to upload up to 10 videos and experience a few basic features without charge.

Our recent sponsor Posterous has a new groups service that actually allows you to email embedded video for an optimal viewing experience. We love that you don’t need to have everyone sign up for an account; just enter their email address and you’re good to go. You can even upload videos directly from your phone with just a simple email.

And finally, Wee-Web is probably the most secure of all the sites in that it requires each person to have their own specific login to view videos which live on your own page. Your emails which alert friends that new videos have been posted cannot be forwarded. Unfortunately, you can only upload YouTube videos, because it’s not specifically a video or photo storage site. So while there security is a big hit with parents, the quality might not be as good as some of the other services. –Kristen
