If the van is rocking, we’re probably bouncing in our seats to the ska beats off of kindie-rocker Egg’s second CD, the aptly named Hard-boiled which follows their excellent indie-pop debut, Sunny Side Up.

Though most of Hard-boiled rocks along with heavy guitar-bass-drum backing, you’ve got to check out what happens when they add horns, and one very special musical guest, to the mix.

Look Both Ways is essentially a message about taking care when crossing the street, but it’s wrapped up in so much fun that even the biggest risk takers will want to hear it again and again.

Kicking off with get-out-of-your-seat horns that could have walked off a Mighty Mighty Bosstones stage, Look Both Ways gets even more fun when CMP favorite Secret Agent 23 Skidoo pays a visit for a little rap interlude. Rap and ska together? Oh yes. –Christina
