I’ve come to a conclusion recently that I must make my peace with – I’m never going to catch up on updating my photo albums. Deep breaths.
I’ve made valiant efforts to get prints made, but being about 1,247 photos behind in just two years, I’m glad I just discovered a brand new photo app for the iPad designed to help me cope with my photo album shortcomings.
Pholium is a fancy all-in-one photo book app that lets you create beautiful, unlimited compilations of photos for viewing and sharing on your iPad. The interface is very streamlined and clean, and the features are comprehensive.
I love that you have full control over your e-book’s layout, letting you make adjustments to images, edit them, figure out placement on each page, superimpose images and much more. You can customize the book cover, even include an introduction and parting notes to make the book seem like, well, a book.
There’s no option to print these books, which would have been a nice feature, but if you want the e-book outside of your iPad, you can always email it to yourself and then upload to a photo printing service. –Jeana
