There are so many beautiful laptop, tablet and smartphone cases that would make fabulous Mother’s Day gifts these days. The plethora of beautiful designer gadget cases out there is a far cry from the two choices that were available when I started out in tech eons ago: black…or black. Laptops Cases
Let’s start with a big old wishful thinking splurge, shall we? The Alice laptop tote bag by Knomo is most definitely pricey but it doesn’t stop me from loving it. Aside from the gorgeous exterior (and it is gorgeous, isn’t it?), the interior boasts roomy space for a 15″ laptop, cords, smaller gadgets, a makeup case and anything else you’d need for a day in town. The charming new Petunia laptop sleeves make every day feel sunnier, and the fun floral prints make them a perfect way to give flowers on Mother’s Day. Tech style, of course. ($52)
The crocodile-inspired laptop case by Brahmin (above) is a classic beauty for a sophisticated mom. Its slim profile makes it easy to carry and you have the choice of using a removable shoulder strap or the handles. It is fully padded to keep your laptop protected and it’s just stunning. ($295)
Tablet Cases
Yep, Petunia again. You usually don’t equate Petunia Pickle Bottom with iPad cases since the brand has become synonymous with diaper bags, but one look at these gorgeous tablet covers and you’ll be a believer. The beautiful bright colors are perfect for spring. ($45)
If your mom is more the yacht club/golfing/boat shoe type, then this fun striped tablet case by Tory Burch lends a preppy vibe to your tech. With a lined enclosure, any tablet will be protected in these pretty stripes. ($95)
If your mom dabbles between practical and stylish, we love the leather iPad cases from BODHI. The protective Italian leather case latches closed, but it will be hard to ever put this back in your tote, it’s just so pretty to look at, whether you’re opting for a pretty solid, or a swankier hot pink ostrich-textured leather. Smartphone Cases
There are so many great floral smartphone cases to choose from and we recently featured three favorites, including this fun photographic pink roses iPhone case by Love2Snap on Society 6. But there are choices for Android toting mamas, too! ($35)
We think that tortoise shell prints never go out of style, no matter your age. So how about this sleek Samsung Galaxy hardcase at Case-Mate? To make it a little more special, it’s hand-painted which means that no two cases are the same. Even grandmothers will love it–but we young mamas would happily take one too. ($50)
Camera Bags
If you’re a serious enough photographer to tote around a DSLR, then you definitely deserve an equally impressive camera bag. This beautiful Songbird camera bag by Kelly Moore looks like a gorgeous purse from the outside, but inside, has everything you need to keep that equipment safe and sound. ($199)
At first glance, you won’t believe that this Rose Coral bag by JoTotes is for cameras, but indeed it is. It features a deceptively roomy interior and comes in a range of gorgeous colors. ($89)
On the must-consider list: Epiphanie camera bags are a longtime CMT favorite for their gorgeous style and protection coupled with a totally brilliant organizational system.
