We love it when high tech gadget cases go old school–like these gorgeous phone cases inspired by vintage books that we recently featured. So we loved finding these awesome iPhone cases all inspired by classic school supplies. (Often, cheaper than the actual school supplies as we’ve recently learned.)

Library card phone case | Cool Mom Tech

This Library Date Due case from theminifab on Etsy is a lovely throwback to those delicious days before they put metal detectors in the library and kept track of due dates with computers. It’s hand-printed in Chicago, and available for iPhone 5 and 4/4s.

The MiniFab also carries Doctor Who cases, Nintendo cases, and in keeping with the school theme, this adorable ABC iPhone case.

Composition Notebook iPhone case | Cool Mom Tech

Where else to practice that handwriting than in a composition book? Or you could just type onto your iPhone 5 or 4/4s while it’s jacketed in this fun Composition Notebook iPhone case, which is designed and printed in NYC. The seller, DesignMavensNYC, will also do custom cases. Like a page of your own handwriting! (Kidding, kidding. Mine is unreadable.)

Crayon phone case | Cool Mom Tech

If you kick it even more old school than marbled composition books, this vintage Crayola Crayon Box iPhone 4/4S case from Zen Mayhem on Etsy should keep you covered–even if it’s hard to imagine what life was like when crayons only cost 15 cents per box.

Unfortunately, the iPhone case doesn’t include that delicious new crayon smell too.
