We’re always thrilled to find American-made tech products, many of which we’ve stocked in our Cool Mom Picks indie shop at Great.ly. In honor of Labor Day, we’ve rounded-up some of our favorites, whether you’re looking to add a little something to your home office or work space, or get a jump start on your holiday gift shopping. Yes, we totally went there.

Artist Jared Kirby makes each of these handmade elder audio speakers (above) using reclaimed wood. A gorgeous addition to any living or work space, plus it’s souped up with bluetooth so you can play your tunes wirelessly.

iPhone case designed by artist Kristi Kohut

We love that Chicago artist Kristi Kohut of Hapi Art and Pattern has translated her cool prints into patterned iPhone cases. Such a cool way to add some color to your smart phone.

Polaroid illustration by Heidi Leech

We fell in love with the camera illustrations from DC-based Heidi Leech right away. They’d be such a fun gift for the shutterbug in your life. Or, snatch up a couple and pop them on your own walls.

Awesome stuff pouch for cords and cables or accessories

This Awesome Stuff pouch handmade by Claire Cohen is an accessories case, but we think it’s a smart way to keep track of all your chargers and cords in your overstuffed laptop bag or tote–or a great pencil case for back to school.

Handmade eco bevel flash drive by Son of a Sailor

The beautiful walnut and the copper bevel corner detail make this one heckuva swanky USB flash drive, made by Son of a Sailor out of Austin, Texas. Very thoughtful gift for a “I must have all my data with me all the time” kind of person. Which is a lot of America these days, right?

Check out all our cool tech picks from independent makers from around the world over at our Cool Mom Picks indie shop at Great.ly. Thank you for supporting local, indie artisans. Happy Labor Day!
