My kids are pretty comfortable in their own skin–at least it seems that way based on what they leave the house wearing–but I’m always on the lookout for upbeat, positive-message songs for them to absorb and enjoy. That is, as long as they aren’t sickly sweet, too heavy handed, or All About the Bass, which has a message that may be a bit beyond their years. Leave it to Minneapolis’s funky indie band Bunny Clogs to deliver with My Identity, a song that reminds us all that our kids have many layers to their personalities.
I’m a book that’s got many pages this indie-rock anthem for the elementary school set sings loud and proud. And we all know you can’t judge a book by its cover.
