Your kids may say Nana or Grandpa or Oma or Nonno, but no matter what they call their grandparents, there’s no doubt that the good ones are worth their weight in gold. So on today’s Grandparents Day (don’t forget to make a call or schedule a Facetime!) which is an underrated holiday in my book, we have a sweet song about those people who love our kids as deeply as we do .

Grandparents by one of our favorite singer-songwriters, Vered from her album Hello My Baby, has an old-timey trumpet playing along, but the message itself is timeless. If you are lucky enough to have grandparents nearby, it’s a sweet one to share with them today, or play it for your kids before they send virtual hugs and kisses over the phone or Skype.

Seriously, don’t forget that call.
