If you’ve seen posts floating around telling you that you’ve got free Ticketmaster tickets to claim, it’s totally legit. Due to a huge class action lawsuit that just settled, if you bought tickets between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013, you should have free tickets, as well as discounts for tickets, sitting in your account.
I checked just yesterday and found that I have a pair of free tickets, plus a $2.25 discount code, so it’s definitely worth checking, especially if you went to a lot of concerts during those years (which would mean you’ve got more than just a pair like me). Keep in mind that these tickets and discounts can only be used for certain shows that have yet to be announced, but hey, free is free.
Here’s how to check if you’ve got free Ticketmaster tickets
1. Head over to the Ticketmaster active vouchers page (you’ll be prompted to login if you have not already). If you enter via the main Ticketmaster page, you’ll want to go to your account and click on “Active Vouchers” on the bottom right.
2. Then, you’ll see a list of how many free tickets you have available.
3. Below that, you’ll see your discount code.
And, that’s it! If you want to be notified when they’ve listed the concerts that are eligible for these vouchers, you can sign-up via email. I should mention that they’re experiencing a super high volume of visits on the site right now, so be patient.
Also, if there’s a chance that you’ve had multiple emails since 1999 that you may have used, be sure to click the tab that allows you to update your Ticketmaster email address so that any potential correspondence hits your current inbox, and not your old Lycos account.

Hello. I definitely purchased tickets during the time-frame as indicated in the class action settlement, however, I do not see any vouchers available in my account. Any suggestions?
I have 18 tickets; however, I don’t see ANY shows coming to my area (Minneapolis/St Paul)!!! That’s stinks.

16 tickets and 16 discounts! Is it true they all have to be used by May 2017 or am I reading it wrong? The expiration date is May 2020, but the details of the action say 2017. That’s a lot of shows to try and get in in a year! I know, I know, complaining about free concert tickets…
2 tickets however none of the concerts are in the Los Angeles area….
They are making it INCREDIBLY difficult to redeem. Tried last night, for eligible event listed, won’t accept my voucher codes. Then email help form wouldn’t work. Tried calling phone line today, only to be bombarded with offers for cable, insurance, etc. on hold, and then to be disconnected. Called back, to demands to enter numbers based on my age, and then to be disconnected again. 🙁
