With the geeks among us getting excited for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 premiere in just one month and one day (and yes, I’m counting shut up), I figured I wouldn’t be the only one dying to reconnect with Baby Groot once again. Especially in the form of this completely wonderful Baby Groot USB car charger. No he doesn’t sound like Vin Diesel, but he is sound-activated (Peter Quill would suggest The Pina Colada song) so he’ll dance around in your cup holder while charging your phone. Plus the geniuses at Think Geek who designed him even knew to include two charging ports. Because the...Read More
One of our favorite travel apps just got a whole lot better thanks to a new feature that tells you exactly when to leave for the airport to ensure you’ve got enough time to drive, park, check-in and get to the gate. If you’re looking for a great gift for a frequent flyer and tech devotee — you know, the kind who doesn’t travel without an iPhone charging case, a Jackery portable charger and a backup backup Jackery charger (ahem, raising hand here) — we may have found it in the app-controlled, super futuristic, James Bondian Bluesmart Suitcase. They had me at “can charge your phone up to six times,” but having taken a review unit out for a test run, it does so much more than that. Hook up the companion iOS or Android app, register your suitcase (which takes a minute), charge and...Read More
We have been longtime fans of the Tile smart tracker, because we’re fans anything that helps keep track of stuff we’ve misplaced. Well, they just launched Tile Mate, which features a handy little hole, making it perfect for keychains, loveys, backpacks, and more. Tile Mate works just like the original Tile, which lets you find your items or your phone simply by ringing the Tile on the app, or by pressing the Tile itself, but with a hole that lets you easily hook it on a keychain, a zipper, or a big safety pin. And unlike the original Tile, this version lets you customize...Read More
Last year, after spending way too long researching the category, I bought a pair of NuForce BE6 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds by Optoma, and soon after, declared them best wireless Bluetooth earbuds thanks to their sleek look, lightweight construction, and very decent sound sound. Well, Optoma has already topped themselves, with their updated model, the NuForce BE6i Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds. Kind of nice when you’re able to beat your own best product before someone else does, right? And with the new iPhone 7 coming sans headphone jack, you might need these more than you think. Reports from the audiophile boyfriend is that they stay in his larger ears even better...Read More

Related: 5 outrageously cool tech gadgets you didn’t know you needed If you’re not familiar with Tile, it’s one of those products that once you have in your life, you can’t believe you lived without it. Simply pop it on your keys, attach it to your toddler’s lovey, or hide it in your daughter’s backpack (you get the idea) and you’re able to “ring” it...Read More
Honestly, I’m not a hard-core audiophile who geeks out over the minute details about speaker drivers and subwoofers, but I am still picky with my speakers as I’m sure a lot of you are. I can hear the difference between a good speaker and a crappy one when I’m listening to my clean-the-house playlists or my favorite podcasts, and all things being equal, I admit I prefer the good ones. So I’m really happy to find an outstanding new portable speaker that delivers the booming bass to fill our loft kitchen or the vacation rental house patio, all without the sticker-shock price tag.
