A free photo effects app that turns ordinary shots into works of art

As someone who is definitely not a pro photographer, I’m all about the photo apps that help make my snapshots…let’s say, a little more artful. That’s why the Prisma photo effects app (iOS and yes, Android) is my latest photo filter app obsession, and if you’re not yet in the fast-growing Prisma fan club, well, join us! If you’re kind of over crema, juno and inkwell, there are more than 60 filters on Prisma that can turn even an admittedly average, poorly lit photo of my daughter, above, into something resembling a Mondrian, a Monet, a Münch or a Miyazaki. And a whole lot more....

21 funny baby milestone photos every parent must have, that tell the whole truth about parenting

Let’s be honest, the best photos of kids are never the perfect ones. They’re not necessarily the photos that required hours of prep time picking out a perfect outfit, or a six-lollipop bribe for a smile. Looking back at our own favorite photos of our family, we vote for those funny baby milestone photos that every parent knows about. Why parents need a social media policy for babysitters and caregivers, and how to get started

A couple of weeks ago, our friend Heather from the Rookie Moms discovered that her babysitter had been taking photos of her kids on SnapChat and she asked her Facebook friends what they would do about this. (In fact the Selfie lenses are pretty entertaining and my kids and I play with them all the time.) So, to give the babysitter the benefit of the doubt, my guess is that she was simply sending silly photos to friends. However, as most of Heather’s friends...
