Suffice it to say that baby record keeping is not my forte. With four kids to keep track of, I figure it’s pretty good if I can remember their birth dates, let alone remind myself to record their first tooth or smile.
But thanks to the new features at Wee Web, I’m redeeming myself for all the years of lax record keeping.
If you’re not familiar with Wee Web check out our earlier review; it’s a very intuitive, secure web-based service that allows you to share photos, videos, and stories with friends and family whom you invite. Perfect for keeping our faraway grandparents, aunts and uncles, even friends in the know without having to send out mass emails or forward a bazillion pictures from your phone like I had been doing.
But now, you can also track your kids’ developmental growth with their new smart albums feature that includes 16 pre-set developmental milestones, you know, like first smile and first tooth, plus helpful email reminders around the general time your kiddo should be hitting them. You can also track weight, height, and all that info I always get at the pediatrician and I’m not sure what to do with.
And while you avid Facebook users will dig their new application, I personally find myself using their handy mobile upload feature, which as of today lets you add video too. And I’ll definitely be grabbing their free iPhone app as well, which just makes keeping track of everything even moreconvenient. Hooray for 21st Century parenting! -Kristen
