We’re big PBS Kids fans at our house, and now our love has grown even deeper thanks to their new, free app that’s made especially for parents to play with their kid, and not just hand over.
The PBS Parents Play & Learn App is available for both iOS and Android users and provides older toddlers and preschoolers with a plethora of fun learning games and activities–over a dozen in fact. Each can be played at different levels depending on your kids’ ages plus there’s a “free play” page where users can add stickers to their hearts’ content.
And if you’re a parent, you know how kids feel about stickers.
In addition to the games, which my littler kids really enjoyed, you can use the app as a parenting resource as well, since there are a host of educational activities that you can use to engage your kids in various ways. Some of them might seem obvious to you, but are probably great for first-time parents or those of you who could use the extra boost of inspiration for creative time with the kids. Plus, all the games are available in both English and Spanish.
All things considered, this is one great app for one that’s completely free. In fact, it would be great even if it weren’t free. –Kristen
