I get a little geeky when it comes to jazzing up my browser with themes–it’s such an easy way to give your PC a makeover.
I find I’ve been spending more and more time with Google Chrome lately, and poking around the themes page, there are quite a few designed by major artists that made me think ooh, preeeeetyyyy. If the speed of Chrome doesn’t pique your interest, maybe these will?
I like each of these for their tasteful design that doesn’t get in the way of actual browsing. I mean, if you can’t read the bookmark bar or find the back button, what’s the point? Also, if you ever change your mind on any of these high fashion themes, you can just take it back and get a new one, no questions asked. Bet you can’t do that in any of their retail stores.
Kate Spade
This is my current browser theme. Simple stripes and white type on brown make it playful but not too distracting for me.
Anna Sui
I am in love with this purple butterfly theme! Makes me want to wrap the rest of my laptop in black leather and go clubbing.
Tory Burch
Do not fear color! The purple and orange is a lot of fun, but the rest of the page stays white.
Ella Moss
Less is more does not apply with this bold, dimensional floral pattern. Personally, I’d like it for my desktop wallpaper.
Rebecca Taylor
The pink and navy floral is the perfect balance of edgy and feminine, and I like how the pattern gradates to white at the top.
Vivienne Westwood
I’m actually not as crazy about this theme compared with some of the rest, but I do think just knowing the fashion icon is somehow represented on my desktop daily would make me happy.
Todd Oldham
If you can handle looking at candy on your browser all day this is such a fun photo. My kids would agree.
Jonathan Adler
I love everything he makes, from ceramics to textiles, and now, this beautiful blue theme. The illustration of his trademark vase at bottom is a nice touch.
Tibi
The one drawback is this lovely print makes me want to their Soho store and buy an armful of dresses. Then find a Hamptons party to wear them to.
Splendid
No over-the-top branding, no gihugic labels, no vampy models. Just dreamy, puffy clouds. Perfect.
