Even I can still remember the butterflies I’d get on those first days of school–and that was a l-o-n-g time ago as my kids are quick to point out to anyone.
This week’s download of the week from one of our favorite kindie musicians, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo is the perfect one to help remind kids they’re not alone in their excitement and anxiety, as they venture out into the world of books, teachers and recess over the coming weeks.
23 Skidoo’s Back Home tells the story about a child promising to tell his special someone all about his day away from home. And the cute factor goes to 11 when you realize who he’s speaking to (but I won’t give it away).
From trepidation (I wonder if they’ll like me?) to his jubilant return back home, 23 Skidoo’s rap with a hip-hop beat is perfect for those little big kids who can’t wait for the next big adventure that’s at the end of the bus route. –Christina
