As a runner and fitness buff, I’m a big fan of Nike+ gadgets. So you can bet my interest was piqued when I heard about their new FuelBand release that I’m dying to get my hands on already.
The concept of the Nike+ FuelBand and iPhone app isn’t necessarily a new one, however, given Nike’s smart fitness technology, I’m looking forward to seeing how it compares.
Similar to other tracking gadgets like the FitBit Ultra and Jawbone UP, the Fuel Band helps you keep tabs on your activity, steps, and calories read with LED lights, all on a pretty cool looking bracelet which also functions as a watch. It’s water resistant too, which means you don’t have to worry about rain or taking it off for bath time with the kiddos.
And best of all, you can plug it in with a USB or sync with a bluetooth to track your data on your computer or iPhone, which will allow you to see your performance. Or make you feel guilty of the lack thereof. Ha.
You can order the Nike+ FuelBand through the Nike website.
I do not have an iPhone but see so many interesting apps for my toddler. Can you provide more of a variety? Need apps for Blackberry and Android phones please.
We’ve got more Android apps for kids coming right up. As for Blackberries..honestly there are so few of our readers who use them; it’s just not the best device for children, in terms of both manipulation and apps.
Here’s a link to the blackberry webstore and there’s not even a family/children category. A brief scroll through “education” yields very few apps with ratings above 3 stars. But the Song Machine App looks promising as does the story app I want to be a pirate.
