Before tonight’s Academy Awards, download the two songs nominated for Best Original Song and let the kids play judge. Will they go with a sweet duo from The Muppets or with a little Latin-flavored number from Rio?
The Muppets’ Man or Muppet has the characters of Gary (the human) and Walter (the Muppet) pondering their true identities in an over-the-top hilarious ballad. The Man or Muppet video has my kids pushing me away from the laptop so they can watch it again (and again).
And Real in Rio, from the animated movie Rio, is bringing a little Brazilian warmth up north. This song practically demands that you get up and move, or at the very least, bang along with the drums on the table. That’s my son’s favorite part.
