There are so many photo apps out there (too many to count) and our job is to help parse out the ones that are actually worth downloading. Recent apps we’ve featured like the Story app by Disney and Qwiki for creating customized photo and video slideshows have made the cut, and I’ve found another one to add to my “definite download” list.
Muzio is an app for iOS that lets you create your own storyboard of photos and videos to package up and share with friends and family. It’s perfect for those of you who are more visually oriented and care about great design. What’s cool is that each “Muze” you create can consist of picks from your camera roll, interspersed with notes, quotes, titles and even audio files.
Rather than sending grandma and grandpa a few picks from Ella’s birthday party, wouldn’t they love seeing a more beautifully visual narrative, even having Ella herself narrate? I’m guessing so.
There are no preset themes like other photo apps offer, which means you can completely customize your photo/video story to really tell your own narrative and personalize each Muze. But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean it’s hard to use.
You can also share your Muze over social networks or via email–where viewers will get access to a private link to see the whole storyboard. Perfect for those relatives who don’t use smartphones. And there is no limit to how many Muzes you create and you can even create them when you are offline, which is a nice added bonus.
If you frequently share photos with friends and family and want to add some creative flair and visual appeal to your images, check out Muzio. Betting you’ll soon be adding it to your own “definite download” list. –Jeana
The Muzio app is available for free on iTunes.
