If you love to read, this Saturday’s National Readathon Day gives you a perfect excuse to spend the day reading to, and with, the kids. So this week’s recommended music downloads are a trio of songs from Latin Grammy-nominated Mister G that celebrate books and encourage our kids to read more.
From his latest album The Bossy E, the pro-reading songs Love to Read, More Books for Me, and Everything’s Free at the Library all sing of the joys of losing yourself in a good book. Unlike his previous bilingual albums, these songs are all sung in English, though you’ll recognize his skillful guitar playing and cool voice on these funky pop songs.
It’s a great message for our kids to hear, preferably right before you head off to the library to stock up on some new reading material.
