Meet Luciana Vega, the 2018 girl of the year, who is an 11-year old aspiring astronaut who has just been awarded a scholarship to space camp in Huntsville, Alabama. We love that this doll was created after consultation with actual female NASA astronauts, and former scientists. And that American Girl has its finger on the pulse of what girls are passionate about, whether it’s dancing, horseback riding, or like Luciana, space traveling. Also, cheers to a doll of color!
