Last Amazon Prime Day, my partner bought an outstanding pair of Sony Noise Cancelling headphones, which are by many accounts the best best noise-cancelling headphones of 2021. He has not stopped raving about them for an entire year, and for an avowed tech geek and audiophile like he is, that’s saying something.
The Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Canceling Overhead Headphones with Mic have not just change his life, but all of ours, to be honest — they are exactly what’s called for with two adults working mostly from (a small) home, coupled with kids constantly online themselves.
These over-ear headphones are so very very noise cancel-y that I have been known to scream HEYYYY!!! at fulll volume, standing right behind him (or much to the delight of the kids) and he can’t hear a thing.
They’re comfortable, the sound quality is brilliant, the mic function is excellent, and truly, the noise cancellation technology is…whatever a chef’s kiss would be in the audio tech review world.

So I knew I could really use a pair — but not for $350. Yikes.
Last year, he scored a pair of the CES Innovation Honor-winning headphones for $100 off and sure enough, they’re back. So I quickly added to cart this morning, before they sell out on Prime Day.
Like I said, they really are the best noise-cancelling headphones either of us have ever used.
I mean no offense to all of you; I want you to have a pair as well if they’re something you really really need for work or music or zoning out to meditation audio, podcasting, or hopping back on planes again. I just wanted to be sure I scored a pair before the deal is gone.
Oh and if it matters — I got the navy. That way no one in our home can ever mistake their black headphones for mine.
