April showers may make us stir crazy, but we’ve found some great kindie tunes about those falling raindrops to cheer us up. So, don’t sing “rain, rain, go away“, join with us instead as we enjoy some songs of the season. And hope for a nice, sunny May.
The Verve Pipe’s It’s Raining Again refrain gets stuck in my head every time I wake up to another wet, cloudy day. From their mostly rocking album Are We There Yet?, this song is mellow and gentle, with lyrics that remind us of all the good things the rain is doing while we stay snuggled under covers on the couch.
With an album titled This is Fun!, of course Caspar Babypants’ rainy-day tune is as upbeat as is everything else on this collection of songs. It’s Gonna Rain will have you all grabbing your rain boots and umbrellas and going out to hop in the puddles.
After playing in the rain, the next best thing is to hope everyone wants to take a mid-day nap which is when I’d turn on Charlie Hope’s pretty Rain Song, from her World of Dreams collection of lullabies. And dream about sunnier days.
