If you’ve heard Run Run Rudolph one too many times already this season, let me introduce you to one sweetly sophisticated tune that has become a new holiday favorite for me.
A duet by Walter Martin and Kat Edmonson, I Walk So Slow Under the Mistletoe has jingled its way into my heart with its “indie boy meets indie girl” storyline. Walter, whose We’re All Young Together was one of my top family music picks for 2014, has a voice that pairs beautifully with Kat Edmonson’s unique vintage-meets-modern sound.
I can just see my own beloved and I dancing together to this while the kids watch with big eyes. Hey, it’s about time they learned why the mistletoe is there.
