We love the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) iPhone app just as much as our kids do, because it gives us access to thousands of cool Canadian shows, movies, and documentaries–good ones–completely free. But now starting today, you Android owners can reap the same benefits.
The new NFB Android app allows you to download and view over 2000 movies, documentaries, and animations (fancy for “cartoons”) right from your phone. Just download the free application to your Android phone and you’re all set. There’s even an entire category of films and shorts just for kids including the most awesome animated 1988 Oscar-nominated short, The Cat Came Back. If you haven’t seen it…do it.
Whether you’re looking for a little diversion for your kids on a long trip or in the waiting room, or just want to broaden your own viewing horizons, this is a perfect way to do it. -Kristen
