If you’re ready to hook your kids up with their first big-kid desk, it’s definitely worth taking a look at some of IKEA’s latest offerings.
The new IKEA Micke Desk is a nice, simple, but very functional desk at a terrific price–just $79. The white desk looks great with birch or my favorite, orange accents (shown). It’s thoughtfully designed with cord-taming functionality and just enough surface space for a laptop and textbooks. Just make sure your kids are past the age of drawing all over the table with crayon. Otherwise you’ll want to spring for the darker wood. –Liz
