There are many instances when I find myself in the car waiting for something — for a practice to end, for a napping kid to wake up — and have idle time. It’s in these moments that I forgo checking email on my iPhone and opt instead for a game. But I just found out about an app that will let me add TV watching to my options.
Orb Live is a new service that lets you instantly stream TV shows, sports, movies to your iOS or Android device. First, you have to download the free Orb Caster software to your PC and then set up an account. Then, after downloading the Orb Live app to your mobile device, you have free access to full-length episodes of popular shows like 30 Rock, Jersey Shore and Modern Family.
Not that we’re recommending Jersey Shore.
The software download to your PC is free and the app costs $9.99. A small price to pay to be able to watch Chandler stuck in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre while you wait for the baby to wake up in the back seat. -Jeana
