The other day, someone mentioned Christmas shopping and those two words alone left me in a cold sweat. How did it get to be this time of year already? For those of you who have started (and I commend you), we’ve found a phenomenal app for Android and iOS that rewards you simply for walking into stores.

An app called Shopkick rewards you (by giving you “kickbucks”) for visiting stores like Best Buy, Crate & Barrel, Toys ‘R Us, West Elm, and my personal fave, Target. Accumulate enough to turn them into things like iTunes gift cards, restaurant vouchers, Facebook credits, or money towards purchases. There are special in-store deals too.

The really cool thing is that when you have your phone on you, the stores automatically credit you just for walking in. You don’t even have to do anything. You can also earn extra kickbucks just by scanning a product with your phone to demonstrate that you were actually in the store.

Maybe Christmas shopping won’t be so bad this year…especially if I can get a $25 Target gift card out of it.
