CES Finds: Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13Even though tablets and smartphones are my top choices for digital access on the go, I am still a fan of physical keyboards and the full functionality of laptops for getting real work done on the road. At CES this week, I saw a demo of a game changing laptop-tablet hybrid called Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13. And I want it. Badly.

The YogaPad’s 13.3 inch HD screen is agile enough to rotate a full 360 degrees (get it? Yoga?), converting the laptop
to a tablet. It has 8 hours of battery life–which is pretty amazing–and auto updates
email and internet data in sleep mode.

While the YogaPad is ultra slim
and only weighs 3 pounds, it also has a powerful Intel Core i7 processor, which is pretty impressive for an ultrabook. It comes with Windows 7 but I’d recommend upgrading to Windows 8 if you want to enable the full functionality of the touch features.

This may be the first time I add a real laptop to the lightweight devices I toss in my bag for mobile use. Hooray! -Beth
