Lately, my Facebook feed seems to have been overtaken by friends’ Spotify picks. Not only is this hugely popular streaming music service amazing for getting essentially any kind of music from any time period, it’s also fun to see what other people are listening to.
Not to mention hearing those blast from the past tracks that take you back to junior high. (Steve Winwood, anyone?)
It’s adding a whole new slew of music apps to
its repertoire–12, in fact–that provide new content, more specialized playlists and
complete and comprehensive information on any kind of musical genre
from classical to Def Jam Recordings – yes, that’s actually an app. If
you’re feeling more Bob Dylan-y than Method Man, check out The Legacy Of…
app to get full bio, pictures, tracks and more of Dylan’s musical
masterpieces, along with many other classic artists from the past.
that lets you vote for one of two songs in the battle. You can earn
rewards and points based on what you’d like to see move up the charts
and top scorers get their picks included to the app’s Taste Maker list.
To add
Spotify music apps, just click the section called “Apps” in the left sidebar of Spotify. Then have fun browsing them!
