Oh Fanimation, where have you been all my life? Well, not like I’m thinking about cranking up the fans around the house just yet, but soon! And when I do, this is what I want on my windowsill doing the job.
The portable fans from Fanimation are blowing me away. (Ha! Had to do it! Okay…sorry.) As a fan of mid-century design, I totally love the throwback retro styling, coupled with modern parts; it’s not so fun having to replace those 80 year-old cords on your flea market find, let alone the 80 year-old motors.
The Urban Jet fans (above) are probably my favorite, with chic colors and styling for those of you partial to chrome Waring Blenders. They’re $149 at a site like Lighting Direct, but for a limited time, they’re just $125 at Fab.com.
If you like a jazzier (and a little pricier) style, the Fitzgerald Fan is pretty cool too, and can even be wall mounted.
Yes, I’m stupid excited about discovering new fans. But sometimes it’s just the little things in life, you know? That said, when it’s 85 degrees in the house, it won’t be all that little. –Liz
