Okay so you know you’re supposed to be doing something productive, like say getting that last minute Father’s Day gift, but instead you’re on Facebook. Not just me, right? Fear not! However there is a dedicated Father’s Day category which includes plenty of your typical “dad” options like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Morton’s Steakhouse, and Fandango tickets to Fast and the Furious 6–should he in fact be the one person who knew that this series was still going.
Still, if you poke around and think hard, you can send a gift card and still get creative with it:
–A Netflix or Hulu Plus digital gift card with a list of all the new releases that you think he’d like
–A Bass Pro Shops gift card with a coupon from the kids for a whole day to himself.
–A Target gift card with a note about that tech splurge he’s been dying for.
–An iTunes gift card with a curated playlist recommending lots of songs about dads
–A charity gift card to Kiva, Charity Water, Blue Star Families and more, for the dad who really does have everything and is happy to give back too.
The cards will be sent by email making them especially perfect for Grandfathers or dads in far-away places. And honestly, while a Starbucks gift card may not be the most creative thing in the entire world, if it would make him so happy to have a Caramel Macchiato a day for the next month, then that’s all that matters. –Liz
