Ilmo Ahn designed night light switch for Kikkerland

As my kids get older, we are just aging out of the night light market. But sometimes in a new place, like a hotel room or a cousin’s guest room this holiday, it can help. So I started poking around and came across this awesome night light switch at Kikkerland, from Korean designer Ilmo Ahn. Or should it be called a night light light switch?

As you might think, you simply flip the switch to turn it on and off; even a young child could figure that one out. The small LED light runs on 3 AAA batteries–no worrying about what essential thing you’re going to have to unplug to get it into an outlet. And it’s only a few inches wide making it great for travel, or just tucking away in a drawer to bring out when little guests come to visit. Lovely example of simple design.
