The apps I use most, truthfully, are Uber and Waze in tandem. I’m a Brooklyn mom—I just moved to Brooklyn less than a year ago—and am still adjusting to the commute. Whenever I have to get anywhere in the city, I need a pick up on demand and then I need to know if the Brooklyn Bridge is closed or not—and it often is! The second I get into the car, I turn on Waze to find the best route. –Gail Simmons
Uber is free for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. We also love uberFAMILY, which requests cars with professionally installed car seats.
