They Might Be Giants' No! song for kids

One of the very first kids’ albums I ever bought was They Might Be Giants’ 2002 classic No! to play for my then-toddler daughter. It still ranks up there with some of my favorite albums thanks to songs like Fibber Island, I Am Not Your Broom, John Lee Supertaster, and Where Do They Make Balloons? —  which happens to be written by another CMP favorite Danny Weinkauf.

Well now the band has announced that they will release a follow-up to No!, called Why?, hopefully in the not-too-distant future.

To celebrate this exciting news, especially for you newer parents who may not already have a copy of No! playing in heavy rotation, our download of the week is the title song, No! It’s a great song for kids who question everything, as well as their exasperated parents.

In fact, I strongly suggest you all sing it together, especially on a particularly trying day.

Download a copy of No! from They Might Be Giants. We’ll share news of their next children’s album Why? as soon as we have an update.
