Well, there’s good news in the Potterverse: All of that can come true with the new Harry Potter Coding Kit courtesy of Kano, the wildly popular computer kit company we’ve loved ever since they launched.

The kit from Kano is the first-ever Harry Potter STEM product — and it’s a good one. It all starts with a wireless wand, which you build yourself. Once you’ve DIY-ed the wand, a connected app captures the movements of its sensors, letting you play through more than 70 creative challenges in the Wizarding World.
Each new challenge teaches the fundamentals of coding in a fun, easy-to-grasp block-based interface.
The Harry Potter coding kit comes out in October, which wouldn’t feel so long if we had a time-travel spell handy. But you can pre-order now — and you should, because early orders get a bonus motion sensor kit that works like magic on a lot of other Kano projects, too.
