As an Apple family, we’ve seen various iterations of devices in our home over the years. And that means, different chargers, different ports, you get the idea. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to buy a bunch of other cables and gadgets to accommodate the changes. Apple does make a few handy accessories that can help make the transition to newer computers and phones a whole lot easier and more affordable. Just be sure you’ve got a pouch to keep them all in since they’re tiny, and therefore (at least in my house) easy to lose.

1. I’m not going to lie: the new USB-C ports on my new MacBook make me nuts. But I’m less angry about them thanks to this USB-C to USB adapter. I have two — one at home and one in my bag — so I can still charge my phone with a regular USB cable. And use my podcast microphone, and… Yeah, I’m bitter.
2. The Magsafe converter has saved me lots of money. If you know how much Apple computer chargers are, then you also know this is a big deal. Since we have a couple of older MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs in our home that the kids still use, these are invaluable.
3. Even though you’ll get one of these headphone jack adapters when you upgrade to an iPhone 7 or higher, it’s worth grabbing a few to have around. I love my AirPods, but I still like to be able to use my old wired headphones as well, and this gadget lets you do just that.
Take a look at the Apple Store for more of their handy accessories. They’ve got lightning to micro USB adapters, which for a mixed household of Android and Apple, are pretty handy as well.
