I’ve tried to teach my kids to look beyond the color of a person’s skin, or their clothes, accent or taste in music, and treat everyone the way they’d want to be treated. But, it turns out, I’d neglected to remind them of one major group that could really use our love and support right now: Puppets.
Yes, puppets.
So, in the spirit of We Are The World, check out this kids’ music download that will support some of our favorite creatures and remind us of their importance in our lives.
The mission of Hand Aid through their new release, Felt Around the World, is to help support all puppets, no matter their color, voice or how they are operated.
Okay, so the premise is perfect for April Fool’s…but it hardly matters. My kids and I had so much fun picking out the voices of their favorite puppets, from Recess Monkey’s Major Monkey to Todd McHatton’s Marvy, the monster-who-thinks-he’s-a-bunny. Even Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players had a hand in the making of this. Literally.
