Last week, I spent a little time with Jaime Derringer, mom-to-be, and genius behind the uber-popular design blog Design Milk. When she pulled out her custom, handmade iPhone case, I couldn’t stop fawning over it. (Seriously. It was a little embarrassing.) Her cute milk carton logo was just beautifully inscribed on a wooden case and I knew immediately that I needed one.
The custom iPhone 4 case came courtesy of the talented folks at Portland-based Grove. You can grab a plain US-made case made of sustainable, renewable bamboo wood in two finishes for $69; or for an extra $99, make your own–add a logo, a photo of your kids, a favorite illustration, you name it.
If you’d rather chose from their artist series, offerings include the sweet Birds are Both Beautiful and Fascinating from Madeline Stamer’s, seen here. You can even download a matching wallpaper for your homescreen.
I love the photos on the site that show how they’re made.
Want. Big time. Now I just need to upgrade my iPhone. –Liz
