One nagging project of mine is getting prints of all the digital pictures I have on my phone so I can keep our family photo album (yes, with actual 4×6″ prints!) somewhat up-to-date. I just checked and the last photo in our album is from summer 2010. Oy vey.
I actually just found out about a very cool photo management site called LifePics that lets you take a picture from your phone and then automatically send it to a local retailer to have it printed via their LifePics mobile app. Simply upload the photos you want, place the order from your phone and in an hour or so (depending on location), you’ll have the prints in hand. Talk about instant gratification.
The company has partnered with more than 550 retailers around the country like Office Depot, Ritz/Wolf Camera, and HEB. Before you sign up for the service, you should check LifePics.com to see if there’s one in your area that offers the service. If not, opt for home delivery. Now, if LifePics could only send someone to my house to update a year’s worth of photos in my album. -Jeana
LifePics offers free photo printing apps for direct uploading and ordering from your iPhone, Android, or Windows 7 phones.
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks! I used the LifePics for iPhone app over the weekend and it worked like a charm. Awesome idea.
Great article. Also, if you want an easy way to get the apps for a smart phone, you can download them directly from these sites:
