Kindle Fire cases - Urban Calligraphy If you’re the lucky owner of a new Kindle Fire, you’re probably admiring your new e-reader with its bright screen and how easy it is to spend large amounts of money at amazon.com directly from your lap.

While you’re figuring out all the bells and whistles of this e-reader, it’s always important to think about protection too. Although you may be upgrading from a Kindle to a Kindle Fire and want to recycle your case, keep in mind that the Fire is thicker and probably won’t fit (unless it’s a sleeve). My motto is always new tech begs a new case, so consider one of these Fire-specific cases:

This salmon pink color with its beautiful swirly design
on front is a beautiful way to protect your Fire. The inside is padded,
yet still keeps your device neatly compact inside. Not only is it lovely
on the outside, but inside too, with a suede interior that even has a
pocket for storage. ($39.99)
Trip Jacket case for Kindle Fire
Not only does this case contain your Fire safely, but it
also offers three different stand positions for when you’re cozying up
with a movie and propping it on your lap. The exterior blend of canvas
and leather gives it a rugged but stylish look and even better, it’s
coated with ScotchGard. We like when things repel spills. ($39.99)
Belking Verve Tab Folio for Kindle Fire
This is one that we previously featured as a great Kindle Case pick. We liked it so much that
we have high hopes for the Fire version as well. There’s a magnetic tab
closure which keeps the cover on securely and a soft inner lining to
protect that screen. Similar to the regular Kindle case, this one also
comes with speaker holes in the back for unobstructed sound. Ingenious.
