It’s always great when great iOS kids’ apps that we feature here make their way over to different platforms. More education and entertainment for everyone! That’s why we were thrilled to hear that Nosy Crow, makers of really terrific kids e-book apps like Cinderella and Three Little Pigs is now making new content available to more than just iOS users.
Before you Samsung Galaxy users get too excited, Nosy Crow apps will only be available on the NOOK HD and HD+ tablets (thanks to Nosy Crow’s partnership with Barnes & Noble), or at least for now. The first app that was released was Rounds: Franklin Frog (already available on iOS) where kids can follow the life cycle of a frog, from tadpole all the way to adulthood. Ribbit.
Later this year, another fun e-book called Pip and Posy: Fun and Games will be available for the NOOK and there are even more planned for 2013. We hope they’ll continue to expand the platforms they’re on, but in the meantime, NOOK users can now enjoy the Nosy Crow apps that iOS users have already been crowing about. –Jeana
