We’ve got a thing for cool maps, abstract art, and Brooklyn. So when we found an artist who combine all three of these elements and puts them on very cool iPhone and iPod cases, we were instantly drawn to them.

Meet Lek Jeyifous (best name ever, right?) a Nigerian-born, Ivy League-educated architect and successful graphic artist. Founder of Vigilism Design, you can find his work on prints, canvases, and these amazing gadget cases.

I love the abstract nature of the urban planning graphics, and the color combinations are wonderfully retro. The maps of Brooklyn are especially cool — they make me think of the complexity of the city, and how it has grown and changed. Plus, if I can’t be in Brooklyn every day, at least I can have it on my phone. (Yes, I miss the city.) -Julie
