The new Amazon Dash is the closest thing to a real magic wand that I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t seen it yet, prepare to be amazed at its brilliance.
It’s the size of a Wii remote (hey, something else we love!) and connects to your Amazon shopping cart via wifi. Hold down the microphone button and tell it what you want to add to your grocery list, or scan the bar code on whatever item you’ve just emptied, like a carton of milk or a bag of chocolate chips. Then check your cart on the Amazon website or via the Amazon app — to make sure your kids haven’t added a set of LEGO, the new Frozen DVD, or ten gallons of ice cream — confirm and pay for your order, and it will be delivered to your door the next day. Magical, right?
Right now, Amazon Dash is currently only available in locations served by Amazon Fresh — Seattle, San Francisco, and Southern California, while we’re still waiting to see how quickly it will expand, given how amazing it sounds, it’ll probably only be a matter of time. Hopefully, a short matter. I’m already dreaming of how Amazon Dash will prevent my husband and me from bringing home duplicate items from the store. Tell me I’m not alone.

A great joy is going to the Farmers Market selecting our own produce and foods for our meals. My husband and I shop together and plan our meals. Being busy is an excuse…” I’m a frequent (and I mean frequent) business traveler who has a full-time career, busy volunteer schedule and social calendar. I’ll be skipping this one. Our shopping will remain OURS. 🙂
