Even with all the DIY tech ideas and creative ways to organize cords we’ve featured here on Cool Mom Tech, plus all the LEGOs in our lives, go figure but using LEGO minifigs to organize computer cords never ever crossed our minds. Until now.
As it turns out, LEGO minifig hands are the perfect size for charging cables, and combined with Sugru, a moldable rubber goo (that’s a technical term) that can do everything from fix frayed cables to hang pictures on your wall, you’ve got adorable and very handy DIY LEGO cord organizers.
Sugru is easy to find, and if your house is anything like mine, you’ve got tons of minifigs hanging out in places where they should not be. Like, uh, underfoot.
While you’re at it, peruse all the other very cool ideas the sugru community has created using LEGOs (love the desk organization ideas, above), especially if you need a little something for the kids to do this summer now that school’s out. The possibilities are endless.
