Oh, Instagram. Just when we think we couldn’t love you more, you go an pull something like this? Yes, our fave photo social media app just got a really cool update that will help you discover new places and may just revitalize the way your travel this globe.

Instagram 7.0 launched this week with two major updates to the Explore tab — also known as the little magnifying glass icon. With the old search, you could look for hashtags or people, and that was it. Now, with the newly designed Explore tab, you can check out images and videos via trending Tags (such as, #startofsummer, #bonoroo) and trending Places (like, my favorite NYC building Flat Iron Building)

Instagram 7.0 update | search by location feature

But the really exciting part of the Explore update — which only applies to the U.S. for now — is that you can search by location and find posts tagged with a place name just about anywhere on earth. Just think how this will upgrade your ability to scout out your next family vacay destination in Mexico. Or get an insider-look at that new restaurant in Chicago that serves the jumbo pancakes everyone’s raving about. Or, maybe you missed that major music festival in Ibiza because your name is not Beyoncé and you had laundry to do. Well, thanks to this power search feature, you can live vicariously through the photos of those who went.

Plus, with Top Search, you can search across people, places and tags all at once. I’m telling you: The updated Explore tab is your new favorite thing.
