Just last week, Twitch launched Watch Parties, a feature that allows Twitch creators to watch Prime Video TV shows and movies with their communities. Whether you’ve got a kid on Twitch, or maybe you’re looking for a way to watch your Amazon faves with friends and family, here’s what you need to know.

If you’ve used Netflix Party, or read our post about it, then you’re probably familiar with how Twitch Watch Parties work. But instead of Netflix, they’re exclusive to Prime Video. And you can actually share your screen so you can live chat with your community as you watch whatever you’re watching. Keep in mind, people can join the party from anywhere, but if they’re in Europe and that Prime Video show or movie isn’t available there, they won’t be able to join in.
So, if you’ve got a child on Twitch who’s asking to watch a movie or show with someone, or wants to host their own, then now you’ve got a little insight. But also, if you want to connect with faraway friends and family for a TV or movie night, this could be a fun way to do it. Plus, then you can tell everyone you’re a Twitch creator which is very 2020.
