Pepi Tree: A fun nature app for preschoolers

With an iPad and a Kindle Fire in the house and a husband who likes to take one with him on work trips, I love finding apps for kids that my own children love that are available for both iOS and Android.

Pepi Tree app review on Cool Mom Tech

Well, I was in luck with Pepi Bath, a fantastic app we featured awhile ago on Cool Mom Tech, and apparently I hit the lottery again with Pepi Play’s newest release that’s perfect for preschoolers.

The new Pepi Tree app is actually quite similar in design to another favorite app from a different developer, Toca House. In this case however, instead of a house with people, Pepi Tree features all sorts of different animals and creatures on different levels of the tree.

Once you download the app, your preschooler can scroll up and down the tree to pick their activity, whether it’s a caterpillar eating a leaf (and then turning into a butterfly), or an owl spotting other nocturnal creatures in a fun matching game.

And while there aren’t a ton of activities in this app, the music is catchy, the graphics are fabulous, and it’s fun and cool enough that I didn’t mind dropping the couple of bucks. -Kristen

You can purchase Pepi Tree on iTunes for $1.99 and on Google Play for $2.33. There is also a Lite version, but I recommend just getting the full version.
