In a couple of weeks, I’ll head to Brooklyn for the fourth annual Kindiefest kids’ music conference. It’s fun, enlightening, supportive, and—as you’d expect—full of great music from some of our favorite kids’ performers.
Frutero mixes Apple Brain’s lo-fi, not-too-slick sound with bright Spanish horns in a part-English, part-Spanish homage to those push-cart vendors who make their way around sunny southern California selling all kinds of tropical fruit. It’s also a great song to sing the next time you hit the produce section in the supermarket with the hopes of expanding the kids’ palette beyond bananas. -Christina
