With all the things that can go bump in the night, I just hope none of them run into one of my kids while they are out trick-or-treating in the dark streets of our neighborhood. So, along with this easy DIY Pumpkin light necklace tutorial we recently found, I love this easy DIY Glowing Halloween Trick-or-Treat Candy Bucket how-to at Instructables that will make it easy for others to see those little witches, ghosts, and Elsas run from house to house.
It just takes a string of battery-operated LED Christmas lights and a bit of glue to stick them to the inside of a plastic trick-or-treat bucket. And since these are LED lights, you won’t have to worry about them getting hot against the plastic pail or, worse, melting all those precious chocolate bars and peanut butter cups. (No!)
If your kids are anything like mine, they’ll hang onto their buckets all night long, meaning they’ll be lit up safely wherever they go on Halloween night and I don’t have to worry about them losing a flashlight. Besides, those lights will make it easier for me to see inside their buckets so I can steal a couple of my favorites to fortify myself on our long evening’s walk.
