It’s funny, the iPhone case that seemed so perfect this past fall now is feeling a little dark and heavy, what with spring finally here. I think I’m going to be one of those people who changes my smartphone cover with the season, especially now that I’ve seen the gorgeous iPhone covers from one of America’s most popular designers.

Fashion icon Kate Spade has now brought her trademark poppy, colorful sensibility to the tech world with this stripey Kate Spade iPhone case backed by yellow. There are 10 other cases for both the 3G and the iPhone 4, but this by far is my favorite. Also because it’s just got a little spade icon on the bottom–I’ve never been a fan of giant labels on accessories.

Blackberry users, you’re in luck; she makes a couple of cute little Blackberry pouches too. –Liz

I had a Kate Spade case for my iPhone 3 (just upgraded to the white iPhone 4!) and it stretched over time, causing issues with the camera’s viewfinder (I ended up with a turquoise “glow” along the bottom of every pic unless I shifted the phone’s position and held it in place inside the case while I took a photo). Sort of annoying – so just be warned. The cases ARE cute, though.
